Why I am writing this Blog?
I started this blog to be able to recommend those comics that I truly love and that are NOT more than 30 years old.
Friends, family, and normal people like you always ask me for comic suggestions, and now it's very easy not only to recommend them but also to find and buy them just a couple of clicks away.
But for these recommendations to be REALLY useful to you, and for you not to waste your time and certainly not your money, I have established these three rules.
Rule 1: Comics must be from the year 2000 onwards. There's a ton of amazing material from the last 20 years, and with online purchases, it's quite easy to get them.
Rule 2: These comics have to be the ones I really love, the kind that makes me message my friends just to tell them to drop everything and read it. It's the level of recommendation of "drop what you're doing". Also, they don't have to be exclusively about superheroes; I'll explore diverse themes while still adhering to the first two rules to make this blog truly useful for you.
Rule 3: There are no bad reviews here. Only the comics that I like will appear on this blog. I'm not here to make you waste your valuable money or time. When I was a child, around seven or eight years old, I remember criticizing an athlete during a sports event. My father looked me in the eyes and asked me, "Can you do better?" That's why there won't be any bad reviews.
The only exception to Rule 1 is books. There has been an increase in literature about comics, and some books are worth checking out. I love reading comics, even if it's not the best for my social life. Along with these reviews, I'll share some thoughts about the world of comics. I hope this blog helps you discover new readings or decide if that comic you're unsure about is worth your time and money. Feel free to write to me at elcomicologo@gmail.com—I'd love to hear your opinion!
