After several years of working as an entrepreneurship and business consultant, I realized that independent comic creators and "traditional" entrepreneurs (for lack of a better term) shared many characteristics. Here are some similarities:

1.Creative Vision: Both entrepreneurs and comic creators need a strong creative vision to bring their ideas to life. They must develop unique concepts and narratives that resonate with their target audience.

2.Resource Limitations: Both face resource limitations, especially in the early stages of their ventures. They may have limited funds, limited time, or limited access to professional networks. This requires them to be resourceful and find innovative solutions to overcome these constraints.

3.Building an Audience: Entrepreneurs and comic creators need to build a loyal and engaged audience. They must find ways to market and promote their work to reach their target audience. This involves understanding their audience's preferences, using social media, attending conventions or trade fairs, and creating compelling content to attract and retain fans.

4.Financial Management: Both need to effectively manage their finances, which is often a significant challenge. They must budget their resources, allocate funds to various aspects of their venture (such as production, marketing, and distribution), and ensure they generate enough revenue to sustain their work.

5.Distribution and Reach: Distribution issues are not exclusive to comic creators; entrepreneurs also face challenges in reaching their target market. They must navigate the complex landscape of distribution channels, whether physical bookstores, online platforms, or independent sales. They need to establish partnerships, negotiate contracts, and find ways to expand their reach.

While there are many similarities between the situations and challenges faced by entrepreneurs and independent comic creators, it's important to note that each field also has its unique characteristics and nuances. However, the underlying entrepreneurial mindset of creativity, resourcefulness, and perseverance is crucial for success in both domains. Did I miss any important characteristics?
